Haskell Wexler, director of the classic MEDIUM COOL, presents his cut of LATINO: AMERICA’S SECRET WAR IN NICARAGUA. Shot during the Contra attacks on Sandinista Nicaragua, Eddie Guerrero (Robert Beltran) is a Chicano Green Beret officer who leaves his family in East LA to perform his duty as a Special Forces officer. His patriotic mission is complicated by his Latino pride, the necessity to be a part of a Secret War, and by his love for Marlena, a Nicaraguan woman (Annette Cardona).
